About The Author

Jeffrey S. Mandel

Jeffrey S. Mandel, Esq., is the managing partner at the Law Offices of Jeffrey S. Mandel LLC. His practice includes civil litigation, criminal defense, and a concentration on appeals. Mr. Mandel is certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Civil Trial Attorney. He previously worked at Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP and Day Pitney LLP.

Mr. Mandel, a former recipient of the Young Lawyer of the Year Award from the State Bar Association's YLD, has appeared as a guest legal commentator for TruTV (formerly Court TV), Fox News Channel, Sirius Satellite Radio, CNN, and Cablevision. He has taught Appellate Advocacy at Seton Hall Law School and at Rutgers Law School-Newark. He regularly appears before the Appellate Division and the Supreme Court of New Jersey.

Mr. Mandel is a past Chair of the State Bar Appellate Practice Committee, and a lecturer for the State Bar on the topic of appellate practice and general litigation. He serves on the New Jersey Supreme Court Committee on the Rules of Evidence, the District IX Ethics Committee, and the Supreme Court Committee on the Unauthorized Practice of Law.

While in law school, Mr. Mandel interned for appellate judges Charles E. Villanueva, J.A.D. and William A. Dreier, P.J.A.D. Upon graduation from law school, Mr. Mandel accepted a position as an appellate law clerk to the Honorable Donald G. Collester, Jr., J.A.D.
