 About The Authors 

Robert A. Fall
Robert A. Fall is a 1973 Dean's List graduate of the University of Miami School of Law. After a period of private practice, Judge Fall was appointed as a Superior Court Judge in 1986, where he served in the Family Part, becoming Presiding Judge in 1989. In 1998, Judge Fall was elevated to the Appellate Division, where he served until his retirement in 2006. During his judicial tenure, Judge Fall was the author of more than 50 reported decisions, many of them addressing issues of Family Law.

Judge Fall served as a member of the New Jersey Supreme Court Practice Committee from 1987 until his retirement; as a member of the Statewide Domestic Violence Working Group from 1990 through 1998; as Chair of the Supreme Court Judicial Education Committee until 2006; and was the author, chair and presenter of the Comprehensive Judicial Orientation Program for newly-assigned Family Part Judges.

Judge Fall is currently on Judicial Recall service in Ocean County, hearing a variety of matters, including matrimonial cases, and is Chair of the Supreme Court Ad Hoc Committee on Legal Malpractice Insurance. Judge Fall is also a member of the Executive Committee of the Family Law Section of the State Bar.

Curtis J. Romanowski
Matrimonial and family law attorney Curtis J. Romanowski, Esq. is a former Special Assistant U.S. Attorney and U.S. Navy JAG Corps Officer with experience conducting complex trials dating back to 1980. A top New Jersey divorce lawyer, leading family lawyer and authority on child custody and parenting time disputes, he has consistently been selected for inclusion in New Jersey Super Lawyers from 2005 to 2015.

Mr. Romanowski has served on the Board of Governors of the New Jersey Association for Justice, and on the New Jersey State Bar Association Family Law Executive Committee. He is a leading and original proponent of the Collaborative Divorce concept and a Member of the American Society of Trial Consultants. A long-standing child custody, parenting time and economic mediator, New Jersey Lawyer has placed him among the best as a "divorce mediation expert." His professional advice columns have included "Persuasion," a monthly column formerly published in NJ Esq., and The Progressive Lawyer, regularly appearing in The Matrimonial Strategist, where he is also a Member of the Board of Editors.

For over 30 years, Mr. Romanowski has provided intensive training programs and consultation in areas including divorce, child custody, family law, psychological type and temperament, conflict negotiation, couple communication, collaborative divorce, divorce and child custody mediation, relationship psychology, interviewing and interrogation technique, and deception detection.
